Emily Steinberg, Founder
Emily Steinberg brings a decade of experience building and scaling sales organizations in the clean energy sector. As a leader at Sunrun (NASDAQ: RUN) and Sunlight Financial, Emily spearheaded strategic growth initiatives and partnerships that contributed to over $6 billion in financing for more than 100,000 rooftop solar installations nationwide.
In addition to her industry expertise, Emily is trained in Co-Active Coaching through the Arbuckle Leadership Fellowship program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has coached founders, CEOs, and emerging leaders across industries such as clean energy, fintech, and real estate.
Emily founded Uplands Growth in 2023 to help early-stage climate tech startups achieve their commercial goals. She works with companies from Pre-Seed to Series B in clean energy, electric vehicles, and beyond. Emily also co-founded Groundwork, a group coaching community for climate tech founders.
She holds a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Environment & Resources from Stanford University. Emily serves as a Trustee and Leadership Council Chair for The Nature Conservancy of New York. Originally from Northern California, she now resides in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, two sons, and a Goldendoodle named Ryno.
